What is French certificate attestation?
French certificate attestation is the official legalisation that makes a French-issued document valid for use in the UAE. It runs through local verification, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the UAE Embassy in Paris, and the final MOFA stamp in the UAE.
Important: a French apostille is not enough. France is a signatory to the Hague Apostille Convention, but the UAE is not a member. So an apostille alone is not sufficient for UAE use — French MoFA legalisation, UAE Embassy (Paris) attestation, and the MOFA UAE stamp are all required.
Why a French apostille does not work on its own here
For a Hague destination, a French apostille would be enough. The UAE, however, is not a member, so UAE authorities do not accept an apostille as final legalisation.
