Indian Certificate Attestation
Indian Certificate Attestation Process
For Indian-issued documents to be legally recognized in the UAE, they must pass through a structured five-stage verification framework. Seal & Signature Business Services L.L.C manages the entire process end-to-end, ensuring strict compliance with both Indian and UAE regulatory requirements.
Step 1: Notarial Authentication
Initial verification is conducted by a licensed Notary Public, confirming the authenticity of the document at the local level.
Step 2: State-Level Authentication (SDM / Home Department)
The document is authenticated by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) or the respective State Home Department, depending on document type and jurisdiction.
Step 3: Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) – India
Following state-level approval, the document is attested by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) in New Delhi, certifying it for international use.
Step 4: UAE Embassy Attestation – India
The MEA-attested document is then legalized by the UAE Embassy or Consulate in India, confirming its validity for use in the UAE.
Step 5: Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) – UAE
Upon arrival in the UAE, the final legalization is completed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), rendering the document fully valid for all official purposes within the Emirates.
